Plans for Halloween
I realize that I'm from Michigan in the Detroit area, and this area is notorious for the most haunted houses in the country (or maybe world) and people seem to get the most involved in Halloween here than anywhere else.
But i wanted to know what others of you around the country do.
When i was engaged to my ex about 11 years ago now, her brother in law and I started a small little scare-fest on his lawn where we'd dress up and scare kids as they came up to the door to get candy. Over the last 11 years, even though I have since broken up with the ex (about 9 years ago), I've remained close to her family and we still get togethre, only that little 2-man adventure has turned into a 10-15 monster-fest with a full lawn haunted corn stalk maze and a homemade castle with cages, electric chair with full effects, 4 fog machines, 6 strobe lights, and a partridge in a pear tree.
That is how i've spent my halloweens for the last 11 years or so. We take pride in trying to get a higher number of kids to cry each year...lol no seriously though, we have alot of fun with it.
I always play the part of Jason with a real chainsaw. Last year I chased a 14 year old girl down the street and into a stranger's house LMFAO. She literally ran into this person's house with me standing on their porch. I thought I had better stop before I go to jail!

This year will be almost like previous years. Halloween was a family event. My wife and I would dress up along with the kids and take them to the town square for the Halloween party there. Adults, kids, teens all dress up. This year my daughter and I have matching gothic vampire outfits. Not a big departure from our usual dress except we paid a bit more for the formal looking clothes than we do for our black jeans and tee shirts. We will be going in full goth makeup and I'll be wearing my caps on my teeth along with my yellow contact lenses. She's not old enough to have the teeth and lenses yet so she's going to settle for teeth from walmart.
Because Halloween falls on Wednesday night and we live right in the buckle of the bible belt our town moved it to Tuesday night (tonight..yaaay) so that the church goers can have Wednesday for that. This is good because I have to work Wednesday anyway.

I usually just try and see how many of those little chocolate bar things I can eat before I have a blood sugar crash and pass out.
Hoping for a PR this year.

Discuss Fitness rumors have it that for Halloween Firehawk is going to be costumed up as F-Mac and F-Mac is going to be costumed up as Firehawk and both of them are going to scare the heck out of every little boy and girl who comes knocking on their doors for candy.
Those little boys and girls will never be the same and will be afraid of the dark as adults!

Well we weigh about the same, but FH is way uglier so i'd have to smash myself in the face with a dirt shovel about a half dozen times to really get into the part.
......that plus I'd need some stilts.

Try living in Massachusetts (Salem Witch Trials anyone?),...and I'm not far from Salem, MA. New England has some pretty notorious "haunted houses."
I always thought Detroit was more inflamous for Devil's Night (and no I did not get that from The Crow)....

I'm gonna make a foam barbell with 500s on each end and walk around with it on my shoulders. That's me as F-mac.
That'll also be the only time it appears I have 1000lbs on my back as well .

Kids and mischief - I love it lol. This year we aren't doing anything for halloween. Next year we figure the boy will be big enough to go to a few houses. Although I would have loved to have made it to a haunted house! Haven't been in one in years!

That blows. What a way to spend Halloween, Jas.
Sometimes I can't believe what kids do that they think is "funny." Setting fires = not cool, not funny.
Man when I was a kid and we wanted to create trouble, we went around smashing pumpkins, TP'ing trees, and soaping cars. Yep, we were hooligans alrighty!
