toledo in general is or was a big industrial city... not much goin on here any more... ask Fhawk... toledo/detroit has lost thousands of jobs and quality factories, and were losing airlines at our airports, and our area is on of the highest in the country in terms of foreclosures per capita
we have GM Powertrain which is on the verge of closing every other week, we have jeep which is on the verge of closing, we have Daimler chrysler which has been laided off for like 5 years now, we had OI move away to some suburb of toledo which left our largest building downtown vacant, we have had 6 major airlines back out of toledo express airport, half of the buildings here are vacant and ran down. but we are the largest fastfood/restaurant per capita city in america! so that offsets the foreclosures!
toledo is on the ABC national News like every 3 months for something bad... first there was the stupid KKK Riots, then there was a detective shot n killed, Kieth Dressel, then there was the 3 suspected terrorists here who plotted against toledo, and they were involved withsomething else, then there was a catholic priest charged for a murder, then we had our nuclear reactor davis besse shut down because it was critically deteriated and ready to blow, and they just tried to cover it up the whole time span of 10 years, then there was teenage prostitution ring uncovered here in toledo, and theres plenty more I just cant think. weve landed nation news so many times, its not funny.
This place is more like Gotham/ or Sin City
