100%whey protein ?'s

K so i bought some, i can get by the taste in milk, What is a "heaping" scoop, table spoon? and it states to take 2-3 times daily, i mean i work out once per day, should i only take it after i work out? when should i take the other one or two servings? should i take servings when im not working out? Also im taking xenadrine, well these two cancel out or be harmful when taken together in any way? Also i am taking tae kwon do classes, nothing real intense, lot of kicks and stretching, should i take the whey anytime for those exercises?
I am basicaly trying to lose body fat% and gain lean muscle mass and definition, i weigh round 148-150 right now at age 19 +5'7 and about 4 months ago i got a fitness exam at my school and i had 8% body fat compisiton at 150-5lbs, is whey protein what im looking for to help gain lean muscle mass, i have also seen adds for CLA gell pills ( conjegated linloeic acid ) any input on those?
thanks

Whoah whoah whoah, slow down there Hoss.

First: It should come with a scoop. If not, there is a gram measurement on the serving size, go buy a gram measuring cup.
Second: I would take 2 to 3 servings immediately after a workout with some dextrose or maltodextrin. Do a search for post-workout shake.
Third: Whey protein is not a drug (like Xenadrine), it is a protein. Just like what you get in your milk and cottage cheese. It's just extracted and made to taste like flavors that should never be found in nature.
Fourth: Whey will not give you energy. It may help meet your daily protein requirements. You should get 150g of protein per day, minimum. Shoot for that in your diet.
Fifth: You can't lose fat and gain muscle simultaneously. Try gaining muscle first. Then do a slow cut later. Do a search here for bulking and cutting. You have a bit to learn, so read up!
Sixth: Don't waste your money on CLA. If anything, buy ALA (Alpha-Lipoic Acid), but it's expensive and to optimize it you need to know when to take it.

goodluck.

I just had to laugh because I found this sentence hilarious.

I disagree. It's not easy, but it is possible.

I thought your body can only absorb about 50g of protein per 2 hours?

No, it's not. When you find your bodyfat lowering as you add muscle it is due to the fact that bodyfat is merely a percentage. Without the aid of drugs, the two will not occur.

That is...unless you are obese. There is a hormone in your fat cells known as leptin which triggers your body to respond to caloric deficit and abundance with certain actions. In the obese your body has enough leptin to fuel an army, so weird things can happen. In the average person, the two are very mutually exclusive. This effect may appear to happen in new trainers as well, because their muscles begin to uptake more water and your lifts will increase, even when cutting. The weights increase due to good old synaptic facilitation. In everyday terms, your brain is rewiring your nerves so that your pathways fire more efficiently and your body gets "better" at performing the motion. This equates to some strength. BTW, this process can start undoing itself after even 9 untrained days but most feel it effects them at 13+.

Do you think all of the food you eat in one sitting is totally cleared from your stomach in 2 hours? Somethings digest VERY slow and to make a long story short, the 50g/2 hours (i've heard 40g per meal, 30g per meal, etc), is a myth. Otherwise, how the hell could someone who is 220lbs maintain their body mass. Unless they stopped sleeping.
