On empty stomach:

Hey partner, no it does not matter if you take aminos on an empty stomach, some people cannot handle it though. They think they are sick. I do it all the time, but if it bothers you eat a couple pieces of toast and that will take care of the problem.
It will help your lifting if you can take them before and after your workouts. I take three or four handfuls daily. They are my main supplement.
Try that and see what it does for you.............Larry red..........

generally half an hour before a meal three times a day is how to take them. I hope im not an idiot for writing this!! For training just take them with some glucose 20-30mins beforehand.

Ask for advice ... then rudely say, "you're an idiot"? My guess is that you won't get many more help offers.

Then consider simply asking for clarification.

A handful of amino acids will usually only result in a few grams of the product. Certainly not a great amount by any means.

Unless you are taking certain amino acids to solicit an expected response (say, for GH release) then one would be better off with a complete protein source and let your body do what it does naturally -- turn protein in aminos's and peptides.

That would be my advice as well, IronMan. Trying to focus on specific amino acid combinations is both a waste of time and and a waste of money (considering the cost the supplements vs. the cost of standard proteins sources).
