Amino Acids, which ones to take?

which amino acids would be seen as the most crucial to take for gaining muscle mass. Or rather then taking them individually, is it better to take those supplements that have them all mixed into one serving.

Get a protein powder with a solid amino acid profile and don't spend your money on additional amino acids. I'm sure there's manny, but I know ON lists their profile right on the side of the jug.

There are 21 amino acids and only 9 are essential (which means your body cannot manufacture them). If a source has all 9 amino acids it is usually refered to as a complete protein. Most people eat meat (protein) since they usually are a complete protein.

Here is a good post about amino acids.

Here is one comparing whey to egg whites.

If you are vegetarian/vegan then this will help you get the essential amino acids
