I hope it's not true, IF it is, I will be livid! It's just another way for drug companies to make money of course. Another step towards new world order...

welcome to canada, folks (again)!

the codex doesn't apply in canada because we don't class natural health products as foods, but as a drug subset with their own regulations and classifications. the codex only applies to countries that classify them as foods.

letter from the minister of health regarding this issue

In case you guys dont know by now this is bogus. I would tell you why but its not worth the effort. Just know that you wont be paying 40 bucks for your zinc any time soon.

interesting: bill and i just spent a frustrating 4 hours today driving all over hell's half acre trying to find glutathione and BCAAs. three health store owners and a bodybuilding trainer all told me the same thing: health companies in the states are either shutting down or ceasing exports and it's nearly impossible for them to find new sources. they all indicated codex was one problem and said that interest in health foods and supplements was drying up because of media scares and overreactions similar to the serotonin case (a bad batch from one factory caused serious illnesses - or was it deaths? -- and now serotonin is banned as a standalone supplement).

Serves you right, you don't need BCAA supplements anyways.

I actually looked up the second supplement. Seems that you're losing another non essential one that you can due with many products already out there.

True that man!.....although i have disagreed with suareezay on a few topics this one he is dead on...bcaa supplementation has its place in bodybuilding thats for sure. Check out Beast over at bb.com he and str8flexed and the owner of scivation have a Megadose bcaa log and the results are just insane!! :

It will never pass. I can understand the restriction on hormonal supps., but not vitamins and minerals. It would put thousands of businesses out of business, people would lose jobs, etc. I'm not too concerned about it.

I wouldnt worry. Even if it is really (which I doubt) the fact remains that the WTO is as much of a joke as the World Bank. We defy it every day by subsidizing our fram industry. Don't loose any sleep over it.

You are sure losing your freedoms these days on all fronts at a very fast rate. A National ID card. Your right to access of supplements coupled with the fact of the new bankrupcy law and the fact medical care is not quoted on competition is a recipe for financial disaster and now you will have less control on your well being. Simply stated America has become a police state.

No offense but 98% of Americans are blind to this and keep voting for the parties that are making this the status quo and it is a far deviation to our original constitution.
