Aln

I just wanted to let everyone know that Atlarge Nutrition's products are no joke.

Great taste, great customer service, fast shipping, high quality products that work.

What's makes ALN even better is they actually support and give back to the powerlifting community, sponsoring many powerlifting events.

Keep up the good work Chris, Ryan Celli.

Chris, can you share with our members your recommendations for protein supplementation for the non-bodybuilder who is primarily focusing on strength and speed, such as the Olympic lifter or track and field sprinter type. Someone who isn't interested in bodyweight gain or loss.

Should the supplementation differ on training versus recovery days?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I think in terms of protein supplementation there really shouldn't be much variance. An Olympic lifter or track and field competitor is still training their body very intensely stressing the skeletal muscles to a significant degree. These individuals therefore have elevated protein requirements relative to that of the sedentary person.

In terms of training vs. non-training day variance I recommend that you consume a protein shake prior to and just after training. I also recommend a daily shake consumed just prior to bed. Beyond that, supplement such that you reach your target intake for the day. Remember that you get protein in nearly all foods and that needs to be considered.

Well guys, I really don't supplement much at all. I get most of what I need from real food with my very tightly planned diet.

But when I cut I do need some protein supps. Got one that tastes good and gives me this ratio: Fat 60%, Protein 35%, Carbs 5%? Because really, the olive oil shooters with a protein/water chaser are really nasty.

And yeah, when I cut that's how I do it. Pretty damn effective, but totally nasty for 8-12 weeks.

Suggestions for something you got that will go down easier? Oh yeah, and that's the time I use the CEE.

Since you are sponsoring us, I'll give some of your supps a try when it's time. If they are worthy, I'll reccomend. If not...I won't.

See ya around the board.
