Best Protein Supplement Drink

I'm a noob to protein, I walked into GNC today and bought a 2.5 lb jar of ISO XP from NxCare...I was going to buy the Optimum Nutrition Gold Stardard, but the sales rep there told me that he has been recommending ISO XP over ON for a long time...did he scam me? It's more expensive, about 40 CAD. Tastes a LITTLE like chocolate milk...kinda off though.

Pretty much... anytime they can talk you into buying a more expensive product they will do so. ON is like the best value protein you can get nowadays and the chocolate mint flavor tastes great to me. The more expensive stuff you bought might taste better but remember you are paying more for that and it could be making it fattening/unhealthy/etc.

says it's low in carbs with 45g of protein per serving.

I personally use ON myself but with protein it is all about you and what your looking for. Taste is a big issue with people and if there is 45g of protein per serving it should be fine (depending on cals per serving)...just try ON next time if you want and see which one is better and more effective

The Iso XP is most likely a Whey Isolate, which is generally higher in protein and lactose-free. If you have had gastrointestinal issues (gas, bloating, stomach ache, etc.) with some of the cheaper proteins then the isolates will eliminate those.

If not, the ON is generally a better value.
