Wow, just what I've always wanted - a place to buy steroids online at.

Wait a minute - I can just get a prescription from my doc and let my insurance pay for them - never mind.

If I actually wanted to cheat myself that is.

In fairness i doubt any practitioner will prescribe doses above that which would replace your normal test giving little benefit.
I know if anyone came into my pharmacy with a prescription for test 500/wk i would request an inquiry.

Nope - she prescribes a non anabolic dose when I need them. And only when my strength losses lead to injury and I'm having to take time off from lifting. When things return to normal - we quit taking them.

Then there are the corticosteroids - they work too...but sure suck. I'm on decadron right now.

(anti-inflamatory, not androgenic).

What dose decadron are you on? Wondering how you find dexamethasone for making or maintaining muscle. I know I would be frustrated.

I don't find it useful for making or maintaining muscle at all. I use it to stop the demylenation when it happens. Usually I just go to the doc's office and she gives me a 20mg injection a few times a week until the symptoms resolve. I used to be able to just get it filled at the pharmacy but for some reason it is always back ordered from the manufacturer now. Or maybe they've stopped making it, I don't know.

The only use of androgens was a few times when there was only strength loss. We used just enough anavar to help me get my strength back to almost where I was at. Only 10mg a day for 1 month. I consider that cheating though - so it was one time only during a recovery period. It didn't help much - it did help get partial strength back but since my problem is neurological and not muscular it was really just an experiment. No fair really, people with things that acutally do lead to muscular atrophy can use it and get good results. Again, not worth the risks involved in using it for the minimal benefit. Definitely not enough benefit to use it for an unfair advantage in lifting.

When discussion of longer term use came up I wasn't interested. It's good to know that it is a possiblity if this disease ever takes me to that point though.

I've had to use 1g/day of solu-medrol for 3 days in the past before too. I don't like it as well because the side effects are worse. Too grouchy.

I know you do not find it useful for maintaining or building muscle as its effects are completely opposite. I think your progress is excellent taking factors into account.
I commend your strong stance on the anaboli androgenics though in know way would I call it cheating to try a low dose anabolic to see if it medically helps you. If it has benefit and at such a dose I would not consider it cheating at all.

Well the benefit of higher dosing isn't enough to me to be worth the potential health risks. It was worth a try after losing all my strength that time to try getting it back...didn't really work. To use it to overcome the weakness by building enough muscle to overcome the neurological problems seems like cheating myself to my mind.

Besides when one uses a substance that makes them feel 16 again after 2 weeks use - there is potential for psychological addiction there. Not a risk I was willing to take.

If I had continued to use the medication and worked really hard, I would probably be either back to where I was many months ago or perhaps even a little ahead of there instead of struggling to get back there naturally. But since it wasn't really making that much difference at a very low dosage and since I felt like I was cheating, I'm just muddling through and still trying to get it back all these months later.

The debate within myself now is since the problem that sent me to the physician's office is somewhat resolved - I can walk unassisted - I had a couple of pretty good workouts since then - even back day went well...do I go back for the second treatment because my vision is still not quite right, I still feel like I'm walking on a golf ball, and the stinging sensations are still worse or just leave well enough alone. The problems from corticos are pretty severe eventually - tooth loss, bone weakness, increased risk of infection.
