Chromium Picolinate - Crap! (WARNING)

This is old hat, but Chromium and it's derivatives are in a lot of weight loss products (still). With some indications pointing to dangerous reactions, I would not continue a product with chromium for an extended period of time.

The metabolift I mentioned earlier has 200mcg per dose, which would be about 600mcg per day. I am going to run this for 10 days then stop. I suggest you check your thermogenic for this ingredient.

I honestly don't feel that damage will occur without prolonged usage, but it's always better safe than sorry.

Products containing Chromium. that I am aware of : Metabolift, Ripped Fuel, (various) Champion Nutrition Products, LaBrada Lean Body, Hydroxycut, Cell-Tech, Prolab Cuts II, (various and MANY) Twinlab products [they hold a patent on a version of the compound], (various) Universal products, Weider Weight Gain products, Balance Plus Bars, EAS Myoplex (and Lite).

Be careful out there. If you want to be around when you're 50

Note: When a product merely says "Chromium" it does not mean it is not Chromium Picolinate. If this is something that concerns you, make your own decisions based on the information provided.

I wouldn't worry too much, Piper. The side effects are more prominant in women and I doubt that short-term you will have any issues. Even with 2 bottles, that's a 20 day supply. Live it up a little.

LOL... well I'm gonna use them anyway... probably take 2 months or something to get here... postal service in ireland sucks..

Anyhow... I wanna make up my own mind about all these things, by trying them and by listening to your opinions...

My opinions are just that, opinions I would thoroughly read every piece of information I could get my hands on before trying something "new." I will say though, some things you just need to bite the bullet on and do it.

I posted one of those exact articles on here a few months ago.

I did a little more research, and found out that the amounts that they tested in those tests are actually very LARGE doses of CP, in relation to what's in most of the thermogenics on the market right now. It's definitely something that people should be aware of though.
