Come on people.....what do you eat or take for a good crap?
I'm asking because I just came off a 7 day course of bloody anti-biotics, and it messed up my whole system.

I eat fruit (apples, oranges, etc) every day. Fiberous veggies too, like carrots, beans, broccoli keeps me regular.

I can leave this stone unturned no longer. Although tempted to buy into the whole colon cleansing thing, and admittedly there MAY be some of this duck looking type material in SOME peoples colons, I must say that having been a paramedic for the better part of 21 years, and after having seen many innards[description for all you non medical types] under hundreds of different types of circumstances, I must ask myself this question: If it happens so often to so many people, why haven't me or some of my buddies in this line of work seen some of these heaping piles of verminous putrid alien type material?

this thread got me a bit worried about the state of my insides (considering i eat so much meat) so i went shopping last might bought 1.5kg of prunes 500g of apricots 2kg sultanas 10 apples, bananas and some tinned fruit, started eating loads of it last night and this morning, still waiting for results, (thought all this my give me a clean out) if that fails then down to the health farm for a lovely colonic  , anyone here ever had one ??? probably a bit scary yet ultimately very satisfying?

Ranger - I was afraid to ask that . I read a little on that nasty website that was posted and a.) made me want to puke and b.) made me a bit curious. Granted, I doubt I could ever bring myself to get that procedure done, but I was curious if anyone has had it doen and if they find that the benefits outweight the discustingness you have to go through to get there.

I am absolutely not even close to an expert here, but I thought, logically, that maybe you wouldn't actually see it until it's ALL out. What I mean is, how long is the colon? I read a little of the website and .... ugh, it's gross talking about it. Anyway, supposidly, it's like in all the little folds and such. So, my guess would be that if you were just looking at a colon you wouldn't necessarily see it exactly until you cleaned out all the folds and saw the combined total?
That's only a half-assed guess at your question. But, I have to say your post made me feel a bit better. After looking at the website (the words, not the pictures ) I just thought that it's kinda like one of those things that if you do it you may feel better, but if you don't do it you're no worse off than the rest of the population right?

I don't buy in to this ****... I believe eating a lot of fiber is the best natural way to keep your colon in good shape.
There is nothing natural about shoving 20 feet of tube up your a.s.s. and squirting a gallon of water inside your innards. That is just asking for trouble in my opinion, and I don't see the benefit unless it is for a documented medical reason. You would think that if all this was true, that radiologists would see this in their abdominal imaging of patients all the time. If you search on google for this stuff all that comes up is commercial sites, I did not find one medical related site, and NONE of them have any medical references in their propaganda.
Come on, if they claim that cures everything from hairloss, to acne, to "lack of energy" then it MUST work right? I think 100% of the population suffers from at least 2 of the things that it "may cure." Until I see some documented medical proof, I am going to continue to laugh at ANYONE who pays to lay on a table to have a gallon or 2 of water shoved up their ass by some half-assed (no pun intended) trained monkey who works on people's buttholes all day long.
