Both will work. My choice is dextrose because it is a bit sweeter than maltodextrin and mixes better. Dextrose is also a simple carb, malto is complex, however, they are each 100 on the GI scale. Use 50 to 100 grams post workout.

I prefer malto for the same reason IronMan chooses dextrose - with the whey powder and juice that I sometimes use, shakes with dextrose are way too sweet for me. I like the way the malto adds some texture as well.
