Confused on Creatine I just bought.

Hey guys this is my first post here and I wanna say hello. Well I'll get straight to the point. Yesterday I went down to GNC and purchased a creatine supplement.

Its called Trans-X. It contains 12grams of creatine in it. My question is that is the loading phase necessary? The worker there told me its not a good idea with the formula I bought since it contains such a high percentage of creatine.

If I skip the loading phase all together how would I go about the process. I will begin working out in a few days so would I take 2 scoops of powder before I work out or after?

From my what i know...skip the loading phase. 1.i hear its just a waste of product when in the end you "should" still receive the same results (just not as fast) and 2.since i think this your first time taking creatine i personally dont think any person should take in that much of any one product at there first time not knowing how there body might react.Yet that is just my 2 cents. As far as when you should take it?....Im going on my third week of use and i have a 5g serving before my workout and one right after followed by a 20g protein shake.Hope it helps a little.

Thanks for your feedback man. I think that I infact will skip the loading. The directions on the product say that it's better to take the supplement after working out. Generally take one scoop when you wake up and on after working out.

Im a little confused here also. I plan on taking two scoops a day everyday I workout and 1 scoop on days that I dont workout. The loading phase says to take 2 scoops for the first 5 days.

So by going about my plain arent I actually doing the loading phase? This doesnt make sense to me.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/sci/trans.html Theres the site for the exact one I bought.

Welcome to the board MIst. The schedule you plan on using does sound like the loading phase they describe. But their loading phase is much lower in dosage than most of the loading phases I'm familiar with. Taking 2 scoops on workout days should be ok. Just keep in mind that once your muscles are saturated with the creatine your body will excrete any excess you consume.

Hmmm but if I take two scoops on workout days isnt that kind of like extending the loading phase and never coming off of it. THis is what the directions read.

"Take Trans-X™ in the loading phase (first 5 days) 2 times a day upon awakening and after training. For maintenance use it only after training, or upon awakening on non-workout days. Use at least 17 oz. of fluid to dilute one serving and stay well hydrated all day long."

Why would the GNC guy tell me to skip the loading phase and just take 2 scoops everyday that I workout. By doing what he said i would essentially be going through the loading and then continue taking 2 scoops everdyday I workout. The directions dont say take two scoops everyday after loading. I really would like someone to shed some light on this as this inst 5g it is 12g's. Thanks in advance.
