convincing my parents to let me take whey protein...

Yea, my parents are pretty close minded and think that protien powder will make u get a lot of muscle and that I'll stop lifting when I finish with football and it will turn to fat and i'll get outta shape. I need a pitch to get them to let me.

Also, i want to go to a party the 25th and I don't think they'll go for that either. A pitch for it would be helpful as well

DUDE I REALLY FEEL FOR YOU!!
Ask your parents if they eat chicken, beef or any protein source. ITs the same thing.

The best catcher though. GO PICK OUT a no fat variety cottage cheese off of any grocery store shelf and show them one of the primary ingredients. ITS WHEY!!! Make sure its a nofat variety. The regular cottage cheese doenst have whey, but is a good source for casein protein.

As far as the party. Sorry but im gonna have to agree with the rents on this one. Kids are getting into to many things that they dont understand at their age but think is SOOO cool and dont realize that things theyve done in their past effects their future!!

Protein powders are safe to use. If your parents are worried please get one that is EAS approved.

Protein will not give u muscle if you don't work out, their job is to repair injured and damaged msucle, if you dont' have any, they will be stored as energy and turn into fat if you don't work out. So, as long you are active, working out, playing sports, they are safe to use. Tell you parents this, you have much much great chance having BK or MacD food turn into fat than protein shake...
they are like the best stuff man, instead a bag of chips or a donut, have a protein shake, they are made from the best stuff on earth...

Grew up in a traditional Chinese family i know where you are coming, I had to convice my parents they are not madicine and they are not hard on my liver.. of course I don't go crazy on protein shake either. Take one after a hard work out or football practice.. If you are experiencing soreness or pain after a hard azz practice or training, take protein shake before you hit the bed, your body will recover 2x faster... one intake contains 35 ~ 45grams of protein.. how can you beat that?

Good luck... let me know if you need more help..

Far as partying, I hope you have a cell, call your parents and let them know where you at, be responsible and careful, let them know who will be there, and let them know you will not be doing anything that will let them down.

just my 2 cents
