Question

creatine and fat

If you use Creatine for a short period of time (say 3 weeks) just to increase your overal strength/condition and then go off it (whilst still continuing to exercise) will you gain fat?
I have heard you gain fat if you stop using Creatine, and I kinda did what I used it last... (I wasnt doign as much cardio though).
Currently I am running 2-3 times a week and lifting 3-4 times a week. Tryign to get good sleep and eat a balanced diet with Whey each day.

Thanks,

Olie

I have never heard of gaining fat when going off creatine. I guess it could be a function of lowering your workout intensity due to less available energy but I don't know. I think you should stay on creatine longer, at least 8 weeks. Cycle it if you want (and you should so you don't downregulate your receptors and stuff like that) but stay on it longer.

You'll lose some water weight and a tiny bit of strength (1-2 reps at most) when you go off. I wouldn't worry about it.

AARS,
Is the kidney pain, better now? I hope you acney clears up soon now. Don't worry the 15-20 lbs of muscle loss will be easy to put back on. How's the rash and itching, gone yet?

No more kidney pain, had them taken out. Fixed that
Pimples, No problem. Just pop em and keep on going
Actually the 15lbs of muscle loss wasn't muscle after all, it was the loss of the kidneys! So no worry there.
Rash and itching is better, now if I can get rid of the warts.
All is well

Bump for the mildly retarded.

Creatine will not make you fat nor will going off creatine. Open a book.
