Creatine and Glutamine together?

Would it be OK to include in my post-workout shake:

-Whey Protein powder
-Creatine Monohydrate powder
-L-Glutamine powder
-Dextrose

?

.... I read somewhere that creatine and glutamine should not be taken at the same time because they rely on many of the same means of transport, and will compete with each other; instead they should be taken several hours apart.

Is this true, or is it OK to take them both in one shake?

It's ok to take them both, ever seen the protein powders which contain glutamine ? Dorian Yates brand does.....most people will say that they compete...but from what I have read and know...your safe. If your in doubt just take the glutamine half hour after the shake....but seriously they dont compete.

well, today, the guy at GNC convinced me to buy "American Stamina"

Each serving contains 10 g creatine monohydrate, 5 g L-Gluatamine, 5 g Glutamine Peptides.

I think i should only do half-serving though, as 5 g of creatine seems to be the dosage normally used by most people. Plus my protein has 2.5 g of l-glutamine, so add up to 5 total grams if i only did a half serving.

So, I now have no choice but to take the two together.

BUT.... I have another question.

The directions say to take 15-30 minutes before exercise. But everything I read about creatine and glutamine says they should be taken post-workout.

I asked the guy at GNC, he agreed that creatine and glutamine are best taken post-workout, but that after the loading stage, i should experiment with taking it before or after working out.

What do you guys think i should do?
a) Follow directions and take it pre-workout
b) Follow conventional wisdom and take it post-workout
c) Listen to the GNC guy and experiment

That's the linkto information about the product, click on ingredients if you want to see the nutrition information.

I hope this stuff is good..... it was kind of an impulse buy. I was planning on getting plain creatine monohydrate powder and glutamine powder, but the guy suggested this as an alternative (less expensive), and I took his advice, hope it pays off.

It cost $35 for 50 servings.... each sevring with 10 g creatine, 5g l-glutamine, plus other stuff.

Surprisingly, it tastes great. I got the fruit punch flavor and it tasts kinda like a cross between gatorade and kool-aid. I actually look forward to drinking it.
