That is ok, just take it slow and sip on water here and there...don't try to force a gallon down in a day in the beginning, you have to work up to it. Drink what you can from time to time, that is important. Eventually, you will be drinking close to a gallon in no time. The main thing is, just make sure you are properly hydrated all day. I am sure you drink lots of water when you work out right? Well, that water you consume then is also included in that gallon of water intake per day....just take it slow, you'll get used to the increased water intake soon!

I currently drink close to a gallon of water per day (including the water i drink while working out, which is lots). The best way I find to make sure I get the water I need is to keep bottled water next to me at all times and take it with me wherever I go...if it's there in front of me, I tend to drink it a lot easier!

The intake of water prevents water retention beneath the skin, which can actually "appear" or "look" like a thin layer of fat under your skin, when actually it is only water retention, which your body accumulates when your body is not properly hydrated.

Also, water helps the body perform it's daily functions to a more optimal extent, as well, it helps you perform optimally in the gym! So yes, in an indirect way, sufficient water consumption can make a big difference in your overall gains, performance and developement. It is a VERY important aspect in bodybuilding!

So all in all, consume what water you can and spread your intake of it throughout the course of an entire day. You will be running to the bathroom quite often in the beginning, but after your body gets used to it, this will start to deminish.
