Avoid Creatine...
Creatine is a complete waste of money, and yet...many, many people are using this substance in very large dosages, thinking that it is advantageous to them. The side effect potential of this substance is enormous, with kidney failure a very real possibility. There has been no long term testing of this substance, and yet...it appears that most people are not at all concerned with the potential long term effects. Elevated levels of creatine are indicated in people who have had heart attacks, which is not very consistent in maintaining heath. It is very apparent that creatine is extremely popular but this is due to mass marketing, and nothing else. All research pertaining to creatine is not to be believed, for there is much more to all of this than most people will accept, except for those who truly wish to obtain knowledge and understanding as to what is truly helpful to them, so as to enhance their recovery from training. I personally consider creatine to be a very dangerous substance and I will never offer it for sale.

Maker - while you're opinion here is welcome even if it does not coincide with the popular opinion, it is not necessary for you to cut and paste your creatine post to every creatine thread on the board. You're entitled to your opinion and it will not be deleted, but it's not necessary to post the same thing over and over.
Thanks.

Maker, do you have any scienfitic studies to disprove the ones that you dismiss here?

Since there is a thread pertaining to creatine I thought I would throw this out there:
Does anyone here cycle creatine? If you do cycle do you think there is a need to switch up brands like going from ProLab to EAS?
I haven't in the past but lately have been wondering if it would be more effective that way?
What do you ladies and gents think?

From what I have read/heard there are only a few actual "makers" of creatine. So, ProLab and EAS may very well be selling you the exact same product. As far as cycling goes, I know most people do cutting/bulking cycles which would mean cycling creatine as well. If you're on one long bulking cycle I don't know the answer to that question .

Why wouold you have to cycle creatine to go between cutting and bulking? If you are thinking water retention, I have only read that this occurs within the muscle and would have no affect on outside appearance. I had a debate with MuscleMama on this a while back.

I notice that they say in the original post that:

Note: if you are also taking a weight gainer or other postworkout shake with simple carbohydrates, keep track of your sugar intake. You might elect to add creatine directly to the shake if there is sufficient sugar to serve as a transport system.

How much sugar is considered enough for a 5g dose?

Man I laugh at people who worry about water retention while on creatine now, I'm on my first cycle and I feel like a balloon!

This is a very impressing thread , i got a question .How do you guys rate Creatine Titrate by IDS. its very affordable and has 484grams in 4 servings with just 5g sugars. I though those were amazing stats compared to the popular cell-tech. and i only got for $26.00.

Well, first of all you could have gotten it here for $17.95. (that works out to be $.41 a serving)
Creatine monohydrate is cheaper. Now, the difference is in the delivery system. You're paying more, but does it work better? The only way to know is to try both products on yourself. Some things may work better for some people, but you don't know that until you try. Personally, I don't know if the claims are substantiated or even worth the extra cost.
If you know that creatine monohydrate works and you can get 1000g for $20 (at 5g a serving that's $.10 per serving) why would anyone use anything else?
