I just feel so disheartened. I feel like while I've increased in strength, I have nothing to show for it. Anyone have any advice or suggestions to pass my way? Thanks!

If you're not seeing any muscle and/or weight gain, you might want to try just adding 100 - 200 calories to your daily intake before you go the creatine route.

G'day guys.
Been working out for approx 2yrs now and have achieved all my goals.
Last few months I've hit a plateau, both in lifts and bodyweight. Tried all the usual "rut buster" techniques - super sets, rest, diet tweaking etc the ol' 2 steps back one forward routine, to no avail
After pondering for a while came to the conclusion that this stalemate could be due to my successes. Lifting heavier, for me, has a downside - recovery. At my age,48, my recovery time both in the short and longer term has now stretched out, where I'm still sore 2weeks later!
I wish to try creatine as an aid to my recovery. This, I think, would then allow me to break through to a new level.
Q: does the use/cost of creatine enhance recovery time to the extent that someone my age could benefit? Or is improved recovery merely a minor side effect?

massive headache
Hey
I once tried creatine. I can't remember what brand, but it was in white powder form.
I found that after a couple of weeks, the only "affect" it had was that as soon as I started pushing the weights, I had MASSIVE headaches. I'm talking pounding, head imploding headaches. They hurt so much I had to stop with the creatine and stop pushing weights until it worked its way out of my system.
Ever heard of this happening?

that sounds like enough. i know it's over a gallon. try more. maybe you body just need more. maybe you had more physical activity and then you need more water because you sweated it out. it look like you have enough water. just keep track of how much you sweat. if you sweat off 4 pounds of water drink 4 pounds of water always weight yourself before and after physical activity and see how much water you have lost

i got a question at what age should i start taking creatine because i'm 15 5'3" and 132 pounds 14%bf and i heard that it stunts your growth because my cousin took creatine and he got big and ran his forty yard dash in 4.1 seconds but when he got off he didn't get any taller now he's stuck at 5'6" since he was 16 years old

Creatine will not stunt your growth.
Creaine did not cause your cousin to run the 40 in 4.1.

The more water you drink the less you hold .. !! Creatine increases " water weight" ... therefore keeping your fluid intake high assists in preventing the "bloated" look...

As I mentioned in a thread down below, I've been taking 5g/day of creatine for 16 straight days now, though fri-sat I took 25 g/d and sunday 10g, and I've notice ZERO difference. I need to drink a lot of water to avoid dehydration, but aside from taht, NADA.
Is it possible it just takes a while to work for me?

It's possible that it won't work for you at all. However, in what form are you expecting a noticable difference?
