This one dude at GNC told me that if you take creatine with milk it will clump in your stomach and ruin it if it clumps too much. I tihnk this is horsesh*t cause nothing could survive the stomach.

i have a couple questions about creatine. i have been on creatine for about 2 days now lol, i am also in track. last monday, i had practice and did my usual weight lifting after, then i took creatine. for some reason i was extremely sore today( after my first use) anyone have a reason for that or did it happen to anyone. i know i was drinking enough water...i drank about 106 ounces. i have another question, does drinking alcohol affect your muscles somehow when under creatine use? since alcohol does dehydrate you and creatine depends on water so much please someone reply..i am new with this whole creatine thing.

tomorrow i have a track meet. i will be running the 800 m race. tomorrow will also be my third day on creatine, do you think i should take creatine before the meet to enhance my performance? should i even take it after? i wont be doing any lifting what so ever, so will my muscles be depleted when it comes to creatine from just running? is it necessary to take creatine after an 800 m race that was ran in a fast pace?

No, creatine won't be of any aid to you during the 800m run. Creatine would be more beneficial to someone who's sprinting like 100m, 200m and possibly 400m dash b/c it helps with the first 10-15 seconds of strenuous muscle movment (which is why it is so beneficial for weightlifters). After that the phosphates from creatine phosphate stop giving phosphates to ADP to make ATP (which in turn loses a phosphate to make energy).
An 800m run is more of a paced race compared to an all out sprint like a 100m dash where you're needing every ATP you can get so creatine wouldn't be beneficial.

In my opinion there is no need to eliminate cardio from your workout plan when using creatine. However, the need for proper hydration is increased when using this supplement. Therefore, be sure to pay close attention to your water intake or you may experience problems with cramping, etc. during and after your cardio.

What side-effects should I look for to tell me that I am not drinking enough water while taking creatine?
To clarify, how am I able to tell whether or not I am getting enough water?

Not being bloated? Since when is bloating something someone wanted to achieve? Who wants to look like the stay puffed marshmellow man. And by bloating, does this also mean in your face? I would think that would make you apear to be fat? Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Just drink 20 oz of water per waking hour. If you're up for 10 hours that's at least 200 oz, which isn't 2 gallons but its over 1.5 at least
If you think about it 20 oz of water is pretty cheap, then just drink it and refill it somewhere...or carry around something bigger.
2 gallons isn't too hard though, just gotta remember to drink every 30 minutes. Personally though I wouldn't at that point you start needing to piss every 30-45 minutes...which is excessive.

I think 2 gallons is way excessive, creatine or not. I drink a hair over a gallon a day and have no issues. I think this will all depend on your body and how it functions. Does it retain easily or pass fluids quickly etc,.
