Creatine Monohydrate or Whey Protein?

Im going to take a trip to GNC later but I dont know what I should buy. Im thinkin about creatine or 100% whey protien (chocolate). Im trying to gain muscle mass but Im not sure which one will help give better results. I had one kind of creatine but it gave me really bad stomach problems. So im probably leaning towards the whey protein. Any suggestions? input?

Buy both if you can afford it

but if you can only afford one buy the Protein without doubt, its the most important supplement period

Agreed. You cant build muscle without protein, whether you're using creatine or steroids.

Creatine will almost instantly add water volume to your muscles, giving you some added weight in the proper places. Since both supplements are working in two completely unrelated ways, I suggest using both. In fact, aside from the previously mentioned water volume, using the creatine will enable you to get more out of your workouts, thus maximizing your potential to actually utilize the protein you'll be using.

whey Protein Isolate

I wouldn't buy your protein at GNC. It is much more expensive than purchasing via the internet. As far as protein goes, Whey Protein Isolate is the best of the protein powders out there. The amino acid profile and quick assimilation of the whey isolate by the body make it an optimum supplement for building muscle. Most of the proteins recommended in this thread are whey concentrates which offer 80% or less protein versus 90% plus for the whey isolate. A good source that I found was Muscle Max Whey Isolate @ www.NoSpamPlease.com. It will give you 27 grams of protein per each 30 gram serving.
