Question

Creatine on off-days?

If I work out 3 times a week should I be taking creatine on the off days? I got Twinlab Advanced Creatine Pills. A serving is 3 pills which is 3,000mg , which I think is 3 grams.

RE: Creatine on off-days?

Hi !

Creatine is OK on rest-days according to my personal trainer.
I take 2x5g on training (weight) days (one scoop before workout, and one after), and 1x5g on cardio/and or rest days.
I use champion nutrition flawoured creatine, which is enhanced with some sugar-like stuff to play with your insulin levels, so i do not have to mix it with sugary liquids. (same idea az Celltech)

have a nice day

xgchildx its fine taking on your off days . I would stick with the powders not the pills. You should be getting 5g's a day.

Avoid Creatine...

Creatine is a complete waste of money, and yet...many, many people are using this substance in very large dosages, thinking that it is advantageous to them. The side effect potential of this substance is enormous, with kidney failure a very real possibility. There has been no long term testing of this substance, and yet...it appears that most people are not at all concerned with the potential long term effects. Elevated levels of creatine are indicated in people who have had heart attacks, which is not very consistent in maintaining heath. It is very apparent that creatine is extremely popular but this is due to mass marketing, and nothing else. All research pertaining to creatine is not to be believed, for there is much more to all of this than most people will accept, except for those who truly wish to obtain knowledge and understanding as to what is truly helpful to them, so as to enhance their recovery from training. I personally consider creatine to be a very dangerous substance and I will never offer it for sale.

Maker, why don't you just get around to selling whatever you're selling, so the mods can tell you to stop. Or is your sig line sufficient advertisement?
