True - timing isn't everything, just a small part of the whole thing. Although I don't consider the preworkout meal most important. I start eating for my next workout as soon as I finish this one...or eating to recover from it...whichever.

The most important thing is to eat, lift, eat, sleep, eat, grow...I think.

i'm not into the whole loading thing with creatine, it says online for my bodyweight i'm supposed to load with 30 grams a day which is 5grams 6 times, no thanks, i'll just stick to 5 grams twice a day and gradually decrease

I'm not loading. I usually use 5g/day after my workout.

Right now I'm taking 10g/day immediately postworkout. When I do two per day, it's 10g twice a day. If I'm taking enough carbs to get a HUGE insulin response for growth, I want enough creatine to accompany them into the muscle to help draw all the fluid possible into it.

2 months = 30 pound weight gain.
2.5 pound fat gain.
I'm guessing 5lbs of muscle - 10 at the most - the rest has got to be water - I want it in the right places.

in context with the post workout meal it is especially since so many people sconcentrate so much on the post workout meal
