Question

Creatine question

I read recently on this board that after you stop taking creatine, the results you have gained while on it don't stay. Is there any truth in it? I have a hard time believing this, but if someone could explain the reasoning behind it that would be great. I could understand not getting the gains you have been experiencing while on creatine when off of it, but losing the gained muscle? Curious as I have just started supplementing creatine. Thanks. ~Steve

You don't lose any "gained muscle." Creatine causes water retention within the muscle cells. Therefore, once you stop taking it, you can lose some size due to less water retention within the muscle cells.

Yeah, Nate's dead on, you won't look as "pumped" but you are still just as strong.
