JamesO, I don't thinks he's cheating. Anyone can take the same supplements he's going to be taking, it's just wether or not you're willing to take it to the next level. Plus it's not like it's an easy way to gain. He's going to have to eat twice as much and spend a hell of alot more time in the gym working out harder since he will be recovering faster.

Oh yeah, and good luck Jock. Can't wait to see the results.

The real art is not gaining it, but keeping it. It makes all the difference...(If you have done proper research you would know what I mean.)

A well-prepared businessman will always make a good profit, and keep it.

If ever in doubt, ask.

Good luck.

Thanks fellas I'll keep you updated.

Helibrin: I have spent 2 years researching steroids and I have spent around £300 putting my cycle together, I have post-cycle diet and training regiemes worked out. I believe I am ready to make and keep the gains that (hopefully) I can get.

Diet question!!

Jock,

Not trying to knock your decision as I definately see where you would want to get on steriods. My question for you though is have you honestly given yourself enough nutrition to grow over the past few years while working out??? I noticed in one of your comments that you stated that you were going to work your calories up to 4000 a day while on a cycle?? Umm the way I look at things with you in rugby and working out like you do you should be darn close to that or even over that to grow NATURALLY. On the juice you are going to need way more than that to get the absolute most out of them. I just changed my diet around drastically and can feel a difference already. A friend of mine that powerlifts used to eat a bunch of small meals and would never grow. to make a long story short he changed the way he ate and has put on 40 lbs over the past year and his strength has gone through the roof also. Granted he has put on some fat too BUT I once read from a noteable natural bodybuilder that to make excellent gains you at least once in your life have to get a little pudgey and that makes so much sence. I figure you get a little pudgey now to make the gains that you need to have a extremely muscular physique but then by carefully manipulating your diet it would be a ton easier to shed the fat with the extra muscle.

Good luck on whatever you do though I hope the best for you!!!!

Like I said its not all quality muscle but he did gain alot of muscle too>>>> Basically he was on his own for a while and got in a good routine where he would have 5 - 7 smaller meals throughout the day and they were very limited in selection and very healthy. He then moved back in with his parents and didnt want to be saying no to all of the meals his mother cooked so he went to eating 3 large meals and then just having a shake or something small inbetween the meals. He is absolutely massive now and still probably around 14 - 16% bodyfat at 240 which isnt bad if you ask me when he was on his before diet he was around 195 at 10%. I think he likes the way things are going for him and he really doesnt want to get cut but I figured If I could use the same principles and then after building a ton slash the fat and get cut.

Basically the changes he made was eating everything perfect to eating like a normal human being but one thing he did tell me he did consciously make sure that he was not overfeeding on carbs or protein that it was a balanced meal ie(steak and a huge baked potatoe and some veggies). He also said that he has made sure to stay away from SNACK FOODS all the time which makes perfect sense. You dont really expect potato chips at 10:00pm while watching a movie to go to good use do you????

I started following this last friday and have made some gains already. I know some of it is fat but my workouts are going better (i fell more energetic)and I seem to start getting muscle soreness after my workouts quicker now also!! It works you just still have to be smart about things

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT THINK I AM ENDORSING GOING OUT AND EATING PIZZA AND MCDONALDS MEALS SUPERSIZED FOR EVERY MEAL THINK AGAIN because that IS NOT THE CASE.

Example of my nutrition today
Breakfast:
3 whole eggs
3 egg whites
1 cup of grits
3 deer sausage patties
1 cup whole milk
mid morning
1 eas myoplex mixed with water
2 bites of a nestle crunch bar
Lunch
1lb of homemade spaghetti
Mid afternoon
1 eas myoplex mixed with water
2 bites of nestle crunch bar
Super
1 12oz piece of salmon grilled
2 med sized baked potatoes with butter and sour cream
1 cup steamed broccli
Possibly - late night snack
1/2 cup cottage cheese
blended with 1 serving egg protein
and 1/2 serving simply protein.

Today is a off day from the gym but if it was a workout day the only difference to the diet would be my afterworkout meal which is 2 cups of whole milk mixed with 1 serving simply gain and and Big cinnamon and raisin bagel.

Hi Jplayer-

Funny you mention the meal thing...!

I don't talk about it much on this board, but the common paradigm regarding bodybuilding nutrition is the old 5-7 small meals per day, blah blah blah.

While this method works wonders for cutting cycles, it's really a somewhat backwards approach for mass gaining.

During cutting, a person wants an elevated metabolism in order to process and BURN the calories away, therefore thwarting GROWTH by reducing the number of excess calories which are essential for new growth. Many small meals equals many small metabolic bursts throughout the day. Great for cutting, sucks for growing.

Here's where the flames would normally begin....

On the other side of the coin, a trainer wishing to gain muscle must rely not on a FAST (heightened) metabolism which burns calories, but on a SLOWED metabolism which does not burn calories, but instead pushes those calories toward recovery and growth.

How does one slow their metabolism? When not actively training, one must be inactive, overfed, and relaxed. Not exactly the "active lifestyle" that's so often pushed on this board.

Do you gain some fat? Sure. Do you gain muscle? Heck, yeah! Do you have to burn it off later? Again, yes, but it's not so difficult. Muscular increase will help to burn off the fat later at a higher rate.
