Tuna, that is exactly the point that my friend made to me. (about metabolic rate) and it makes so much sense. If your eating little meals all of the time your metabolism is running 90 mph to keep up and has a harder time using your food for building but when you cut back your meals and increase your volume just like you said your body has a better chance of using what you consume to build mass as it doesnt think that it needs to devour everything cause its gonna have something of the same proportion coming in a couple of hours!!!

Don't get me wrong, I don't care what you do with your body at all.
I just wouldn't ever want other people to like the way I looked enough to want to endanger my health with roids.
take it easy,
James.

As long as the "Juice" is done in moderation and your not sticking yourself with 6 cc's of the stuff every day, and cycle properly the pros of the "Juice" outweigh the cons. Are there side effects? Sure but most if not all over the counter supplements also have side effects, ranging from spending all your free time on the crapper to acne. If the decision is made to hit the "Juice" just be smart about it, and don't try to look like Brock Lesnar in a week.

Yeah, I know!! This is so different from what Cursor is doing.... Oh well, whatcha gonna do?
Really, both methods work. A lot depends on your physical type (ecto, meso, endo) and metabolism. I think for the typical endomorph this may not be the best idea, but meso- and ectomorphs gain like crazy if they are inactive during recuperation!

Hey Tuna. I was going to mildly argue with you ... until that last post. Excellent clarification—good for some, but not necessarily for everyone (could mean a lot of fat). Cool. Someone like Jakanden might do well to moderate his activity level to experience better muscle growth.

Bro my reasons extend further than just looking good. I'm afraid that steroid use on this board isn't exactly popular which encourages ignorant comments above which have been manipulated by the media and the government.
In the 'Chit-Chat' forum recently there was a poll posted asking people if they smoke or not and I was surprised at how many people do, people all over the world inhale that sh*t and destroy their insides every second but when someone comes clean and admits that their gonna do an 8 week cycle of steroids, with a responsible diet and correct post-cycle meds they are indangering their health!!!!
I have never smoked, sure I've tried it and weed once or twice when I was younger but I never smoke it now, I have never taken any other drugs such as cocaine or ecstasy and I never will. I am USING steroids as a tool to help me grow. I don't plan on any sort of long-term use and I am so determined about this I have read and highlighted several passages from th book 'Anabolic Steroids in Sport and Excercise' by Charles Yesalis.
I'm not some dopy 17-year-old who pops a couple of D-bol now and then, like I said I have been researching for 2 years now.
Jplayer: Thanks for your concern, but I have reached my natural peak I believe, I have worked hard to get to my 168lbs and I believe that NOW is the time to go for.

Hey Cursor-
Yeah, I read Jakanden's post "end of rope" as well as his journal. Guy is (on paper, anyway) doing everything right but not getting the gains he wants. The last journal entry on 4/17 or so said something to the effect of "great workout, got stronger, felt great after the week off" type of thing.
Total overtraining most likely. Especially when you look at his caloric totals- they look good. Rest looks good, too.
There's enough of all nutrients going into his body, as well as enough sleep-time to turn those nutrients into tissue. Problem is- it's turning into the wrong kind of tissue, which (to me anyway) is a signal of either under- or overtraining. I figure he's over-doing it in some respect.
He plans on a week off, which is probably the best way to get back on track. Rest up, re-focus, get that fire stoked up again...

Jock, I don't think jplayer was trying to flame you in his post. When I saw your calorie intake at 4000 per day I thought that was low too. Try and bump up your cals to 5000 per day while on. You won't be disappointed by the results, especially if they are clean cals.

Wow all this and no fire. I gotta hand it to this board, that's a damn good record considering the topic. It reflects positively on all of you.
Jock I don't know much but I do know it's your body, it's your choice. I hope you get what you're looking for. Good show for being honest about it too. Now to see your journal I guess.

Nope not flaming at all because The good lord knows ive thought heavily about crossing over too but I honestly dont think I have tried my absolute hardest to pack on the pounds naturally so Im still giving that a shot.
I was just a little worried when you said you would increase your calories to 4000 while on the cycle because from what research I have done that seems to be low!!! Just trying to help out.

No flame was intended jplayer, I was referring to the ignorant comments from JamesO.
I've tried high calorie-diets before, and I found that I gained too much fat, even when I tried to eat clean. 4000 may seem low but I'll think I'll put a limit of 4500 on them.
I know I'm gonna gain fat and I'm prepared to do so but I want to put a limit on that too.
Lee: thanks for your kind words bro, it really is important to me that I have your support.

Your high cal diets were when you were training naturally. On juice you might not gain so much fat. Your body will be in a very positive nitrogen balance....
And, you ARE going to do enough cardio, aren't you? Keep your gains lean and clean.
