Designer Whey owned by Muscletech?

Did MuscleTech buy the Designer whey name or something?

I saw in MensHealth today an ad for Designer Whey and it claimed to add 14.xx lbs of muscle on a bunch of athletes as opposed to only 4.xx pounds of muscle on other athletes on the same training program in 28 days.

Is there any truth behind this, i mean, is Designer whey any better than any other protein out there?

Designer is not owned by Muscletech and is no "better" than many other whey protein supplements.
I personally like the taste, mixability etc of designer but that's a personal thing
