I was reading in newsweek about steroids and they mentioned DHEA in passing but somewhat positive. I already did a seach and didnt come up with much.

What are y'alls opinions on DHEA what will it do what will it do, what are the side effects, who should use it?
In my search I saw 7 Keto was mentioned in a lot of the posts what is this?

I myself think it is a HUGE waste of money....spend it on a creatine and protein...they are proven and not based on theory....

I use 7-keto DHEA. 100 mg 2 times per day. It is wonderful! It seems to slightly increase energy and supposedly it doesn't turn into estrogen or testosterone in the body, so it doesn't have the negative side effects that DHEA can have. A lot of companies suggest only 25 mg once or twice per day, but that is because it is expensive to manufacture. In reality that dose is too low for most people to notice the positive effects.
Here are some of the claims for 7-keto DHEA:
* lowers cortisol
*improves memory
*aids in weight loss and energy
*immune enhancement
*potent increaser of liver thermogenic enzymes
*more potent than DHEA

I have been taking it for about 6 weeks. I noticed it working more over time. It seems to help even if you don't exercise or eat healthfully, which makes it an especially great supplement to ad to your program if you already do those things. I've also heard that it alleviates some forms of depression.
