do i have to take protien powder withcreatine


Hi,

sorry if this has already been answered but i couldn't find it in my searches

im a first time creatine user (tonight was my first shake)

im using it with water, unflavoured and was wondering if i need to take a protien powder with it?

any help is greatly appreciated!

It all depends on your diet. If you have enough protein in you diet, then protein powder would not be necessary. If not, you will not enjoy optimum results from your creatine usage. The two is not inter-dependent, but protein powder could help with the recovery process. But this goes for your diet in general (if you are lifting weights) - if you do not consume enough proteins you will not recover (and grow) at an optimum level. See creatine as a performance enhancer and protein powder as a recovery aid.

So: yes & no.

dont consider them dependent on each other

you dont have to take them together--but you can

you want to get x amount of each one every day

doesnt matter if they are taken together though
