EGCG how much is too much

with everyone jumping on the EGCG (green tea wonder chemical) how much is too much.

Right now I drink about 6 tea bags worth a day (3 decaff 3 reg) but it is also available in multi vitamins, chewing gum etc. How much is much, when people say it has worked well for the asians for years how much are they talking about.

I just read it has been shown to prevent cancer (although it is not good for women who may become pregnent something about spina bifida)

This is a very good question. I personally think that it is one of those things that "too much" has to be alot. I've been looking around google quickly and the jury is still way out as to how much should be taken. The source and quality is going to determine how much your body absorbs/uses as well. I don't think the little amount that is being put in nutritional bars and supps. are as bioavailable as green tea. It's great for you though and have heard that some people (asiatic cultures) drink it as thier sole beverage throughout the day.
