egg protien powder?

Does anyone have experience with egg protien powder. I picked up a 2 lb container this weekend on clearance at GNC. I was using whey but ran out and this looked like a deal @ 9.00 originally 36.00. I don`t care for the taste, but if it is good stuff I`ll continue to use it. At least until Fed Ex gets here with the whey. Maybe I can use it once a day and the whey otherwise. Any thoughts? I`m assuming it was clearanced because of the taste uke:

Yeah, it probably was. Egg protein doesn't have a real pleasant taste, so I usually mix mine in with a smoothie to make it more palatable. But it is very good protein so it is worth taking. And you got a great deal on it.

What are the differences between egg/whey protiens? Would it be a good idea to alternate these (one in the morning and the other after my workout)to insure that I`m getting the benefits of both? If this would be a good idea, I`ll take it on a more regular basis. regardless of the taste

Egg and whey are two different proteins - each can provide important building blocks for expanding muscle. There is a good post on the diet board about eggs. Check it out: Eggs - the best way?

You might get the most benefit by mixing whey and egg protein in a drink before bed. The whey will be digested quickly and the egg will take a bit longer, the result being longer feeding through the night for your muscles.
