Estrogen Blockers

Do estrogen blockers actually stimulate testosterone production? Will this supplement help me lean out and gain mass?

Estrogen blockers do not stimulate testostrone production but they do increase the test:Estro ratio. This could have a positive effect on muscle gain, fat loss, mood etc, especially if your ratio has be compromised (naturally low t-levels, long-term exposure to pollution, high soy intake, over 30 years in age, prohormone/steroid use). Some think that everyone (male athletes and male sedentary) should take some sort of e-blocker to combat the estrogen causing factors that we are exposed to everyday.

I agree with the above entirely - they don't stimulate test production which is a massive common myth, they just decrease the net amount of conversion to estrogen thus increasing test levels.

Keep in mind also that the body needs a certain amount of estrogen for hormone stability, so it is not condusive for good health to block it entirely for a lengthy period of time. Work on "freeing up" the free testosterone levels in the body and utilizing every bit of it for muscular gain, however minimal it might be.

I just ordered 6-OXO... heard good things about it, and I'm 33 and know my test count is a little low to begin with.

I personally think the Est. blockers have a small place in the market but for someone looking to boost test levels, wouldn't one want to try Tribulus or ZMA first? I just finished a bottle of Trib. and can't say I was too impressed though. Maybe it helped, maybe not. I noticed better results with ZMA than the Trib.

I wouldn't open it and would try and return it. Their claims are way overhyped and you'll NEVER notice any chnages or added results.

Just trying to save you a little dough

60X0 seemed to help as a stand alone...not as a post cycle

i gained a little and lost some fat...but it could just as well have been placebo but i think it worked

i had good workouts when i was carb depleted that wouldve normally suffered

i only took 3 caps per night, in hind sight I shouldve taken closer to 6 which is full dosage

Estrogen blocker work to increase testosterone production by decreasing either aromitization (the conversion of testosterone to estrogen) or by blocking the estrogen receptor. Most supplements on the market work by inhibit the aromatase enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to estrogen. The Hypothalamic Pituitary Testicular Axis (HPTA) senses the levels of androgens (testosterone, DHT, etc.) and estrogens in the body. A decrease in estrogen levels seeds feedback to the hypothalamus, which sends the signal to increase testosterone production in hopes to aromatize it to estrogen. Since you are taking an aromatase inhibitor, this testosterone is not aromatized to estrogen.

This is very effective in hypogonadal men (i.e. post steroid cycle) in storing testosterone secretion after being supressed and has been shown to work in men with normal testosterone levels as well. How much of an effect something like 6OXO will have an a normal male, I don't know (they did a study, so take that for what it is worth).

Now that PH's are banned, I think test boosters will be the new trend in the supplement market.
