thanks gymrat....just keep an open mind and you'll do great! I also thought i would point you in the direction of NO2, some stuff that my buddy has been taking and seems to be benefiting from it in a big way. He looks more solid and seems to be riding himself of any fat at all. Give that a try but remember to drink alot of water with it cause it will dehydrate the crap out of you.

My First post. I had to comment. WCUfballer your post was irresponsible. I could not even begin to imagine the repercussions the story about your friend (if true) would have on the supplement world. And since I did not witness any...I dismiss your story as false. Creatine is one of the safest supplements on the market, there have been thousands of attempts to show otherwise that have all mostly failed....I couldn't imagine something as great as it being a "cancer causing agent" slipping through the medias fingers. I can see the headlines now "Creatine and Cigarettes".

Ephedra has been used for hundreds of years now safely by Asians, and over a decade by body builders...but leave it to the average American consumer to ruin something so good because they abuse it. Lets face it..... If bananas were found to cause rapid and drastic weight loss....we'd next hear of people dying of "banana overdose". The government was oh so wrong to take it away from us....take something away that actually kills no matter how you take it...cigarettes. Thank god I have my 3 bottles of ECA Stack, 4 bottles of Xenadrine and 2 bottles of Hydroxycut all with Ephedra. I am a responsible adult with a good head on my shoulders that likes to READ Directions! And I couldn't imagine paying $180 a bottle....has anyone checked the webs prices yet!!?? outrageous.

And lastly. For you to suggest steroids (jail time, serious side effects) over something like creatine (legal) shows where your head is at. I don't believe anything else needs to be said on that.

BTW: I have nothing against steroids...but i know that creatine is much safer.

Had to vent....ok all done now

Very Interesting thread. Every drug or "supplement" seems to have a learning curve, cocaine, marijuana and pcp (I think) were all legal at one point until evidence was found to make them illegal. I have no idea why the government banned ephedra from what I can tell were some poor decisions made by individuals. Has anyone found any compelling evidence about the effects of ephedra ? Anyway, I wanted to know how safe and effective is a homemade EC stack compared to the manafactured fat burners ?

Ephedrine HCl is, IMO, a much superior option anyway. Ephedra contains various alkaloids which, much like the Yohimbe alkaloids, are very unpredictable. Ephedra causes a lot of swelling in my prostate, while Ephedrine HCl barely causes any.

You can also experiment finding the exact ratio/dose that works for you.

GymRat18,

Here is my take on the whole topic.

1. Read the papers. Ephedra based products have proven to be dangerous.
2. I do not know much about creatine, but for someone to tell you to take steriods over creatine is kinda wacked. For one: at least creatine is a legal substance. If someone blames creatine on a death with no clear proof or facts it is basically up to you to decide. Hair loss and testical shrinkage doesn't sound too safe to me. And, if you did a search on health issues related to each, I'll bet steriods would fill your entire screen.

Either way, the choice(RISK) is yours. If I were to choose one, I'd base my decission on facts and scientific data, not just one guys opinion. Both cocane and alchohol will kill you. I'll stick with the legal stuff myself.

Yea i know a little about them ive done research papers on both in highschool and college and 2 on steroids and 1 on creatine and 1 on ephedrine, for right now definitly steroids have more side effects... also i witnessed first hand a friend go from scrawny to bodybuilder size in like a year w/ steroids so i have seen the transformation they cause and the side effects, however my growth is not a problem i work out all the time run often now with clean diet (cutting now) ... however fatburners with just nothing but herbal stuff like hydroxycut or xendrine efx i haven't heard much about their safety, so i was really wondering about them bc sometimes also when i have took hydroxycut and xendrine i have little pains every now and then in my stomach even if i take only like 1 but i think its in my head ... they aren't excrusiating or anything at all just annoying and probably nothing.... o well thanks for all the reply's guys

Take a look at LS7. I've heard it is safer than fat burners and (while continuing workouts) gives great results.

I've been taking Lean System 7 for about 2 months now, and it's great.
I've lost about 2% fat (even with my not so clean diet)

It's an excellent thermogenic product, energy levels go up when im training, allowing me to push myself to the max and still have enough energy to go back to work for the rest of the day!!
As with most supplements, follow the instructions and make sure ur well hydrated etc.

good luck.
