Female Bodybuilding

I am a 28 year old female who has been training...for one reason or another...for ten years now. I am in good shape and have great genetics..I've decided that I am ready to "take it to the next level" and try competetive bodybuilding. My boyfriend is a competetive bodybuilder but I don't want to follow his dieting and supplementation schedule and I've had a hard time finding some advice from female pros on supp's and dieting. It seems that all of the dieting advice that you see in the mags are for the 'fitness' girls..but what about those of us that want to build muscle while cutting fat. And what about the pros that are 'on'...what can a female do to avoid the stereotypical 'he-she' look???

By "on", I assume you mean steroids. And by the "he-she" look, I assume you mean women who look like men.

Well, you can avoid the heavy androgenic steroids and stay with the mild anabolic ones. Keep dosages low and keep yourself in check. Watch your body. Some people are more sensitive to steroids and react diferently.

Steroids to consider are Anavar, Winstrol and Primobolan. I'm no guru in this aspect, you could search around the Web more.

Like Steve said, avoid Testosterone and the like, and you won't have trouble with androgenic side effects. You might ping 12percentt (who looks decidedly unmale) and competes  (well she could if she doesn't)

www.freakzonline.com has some good info, and there are a few serious women on the board who can answer questions (who don't look like guys).

I don't think there's a huge amount of difference between a guys diet and a womans. There's a ton of difference from person to person to be sure. Anyway, I don't think you'll find much advice like a guy's or a woman's magazine here on d/f. So we can help out there.

Welcome, stick around a while.

THANKS GUYS! I will checkout the website that you provided and definitely research the products that you suggested. I really stepped up this week with both my diet and my training. Like I said earlier, I feel like I've been gifted with genetics and it's time to take advantage of that especially now that I'm heading towards the years of muscle maturity!
Since I've discovered this website last week I've learned so much more than the mags can deliver! And one positive is that is completely objective unlike some of those 200 page advertisements that we spend $8 a piece on.
I would appreciate any suggestions from female bodybuiders as well...especially on supp's.

Here's my next question....I'm trying to cut...15-20lbs. I've got a ton of muscle that I'm trying to discover again =P Should I avoid CREATINE while doing this...I've heard that it is pointless to use creatine while using thermos to cut...especially for women because of the water retention factor...any advice???
THANKS~
