i'm not sure if the make is the best but for the price i thought why not!

the capsuals are roughly 1000mg each. how many do you all recommed i take in order to see benefits from it e.g muscle development and weight loss...? i read many articles which list a lot of benefits from this EFA...

it says 1-5 a day on the bottle but i wanted to know roughly in grames how many i need...

i'm 21 male, 5,11 tall and weigh now roughly 11,10 stone or 74kg

thanks

Graeme.

If you are eating 5-6 times a day, one at each meal is great.
Otherwise, go with 2.

Fudo, would one be better off with a blend of flax and something like hemp oil? I have read about getting too much omega 3's and that will mess with the level of omega 6's. And if I can't find a blend, then which foods are good for omega 6's?

Chef Jeff's Weekly Health Update

The omega-6 fatty acid (LA) is abundant in our food supply and is found in fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and vegetable oils. The omega-3 fatty acid (ALA) is not as abundant in our food supply but can be found in fish, flax seeds and walnuts.
As most of us get an abundance of the omega-6 fatty acid (LA) in our diets, the main problem right now seems to be in getting in enough of the omega-3's fatty acid (ALA). There is no established recommend daily intake yet, but current estimates range from .5 gram to 2 grams per day.

Not only is getting in enough of each essential fat important to our health, so is the ratio of one to the other (LA:ALA) also very important. While there is no consensus on what the ideal ratio of LA:ALA is, expert recommendations for the ratio run from 1:1 to 10:1 (LA:ALA) with 4:1 being ideal. It has been estimated that the early human diet had a ratio of ~1:1.

Iron, almost every vegtable (canola, corn, etc) oil has Omega-6's in it. I think you'd be hard pressed not to get enough. If you eat out once a week, you probably get your fill.

Olive Oil has no O-3's or O-6's and no saturated fats. I pretty much stick with that now. Besides my added long-chain O-3's.
