Funny GNC story

So i just got back from GNC, i went to buy some NO-XPLODE

as i was walking in i stopped to look at the price of a 10lb ON 100% whey protein.

The guy walks up to me and says "on sale"

so i say "how much with the gold card"

he answers

So as i'm walking down towards the NO products he says

"do you know what the best protein in the world is?"

he walks right up to the Muscletech section and points to the Nitro tech

I just laugh and explain that the protein i was just looking at was the best (ON 100%) and that muscletech just spends the most money on advertisements. He disagrees with me and i just walk over to the no-xplode

so he picks up a $95 xyience and say "this is the best"
i'm like "i've used this before and i like it plus it's cheaper"

Store Clerk: "you've got to pay more for the best stuff"

me: just ring me up

anyone have any persistent and wrong sales people during their supplement shopping?

(sorry if this is in the wrong section)

Yea....lot of stories there. I stopped shopping at GNC years ago but may go if I have an emergency and need something fast. Always seems to be a newbie in there getting some bad advice from the sales people. It is sometimes hard to stand back and watch someone get guided down the wrong path but at the sametime I guess it would be rude to "try" to correct the sales person.

Can't save them all! LOL

haha i hope i didn't come off rude, he was badgering me. i just wanted to say "your preaching to the wrong guy" or something else. anyone who says nitro tech is the best protein ever deserves to be corrected.

I wouldnt call ON the best though I prefer EAS but in all truth for the average Joe -ie no digestive probs and intakes plenty protein- what is the difference. Get the best value.
I hate them sales reps idiots. I remember one guy telling me to get another protein because the serving protein content was better. A quick calculation on my behalf showed it was actualyy 8%w/w less but the scoop size was bigger. The rep just could not comprehend this.

My pet peave is guys that are smaller than me that work at a GNC telling me the best ways to pack on muscle.

I love doing some window shopping in GNC and then going to Vitamin Shoppe and buying my stuff there lol. Even in Vitamin Shoppe though there is always some scrawny bastard that is convinced if I hit my glutes from a 45 degree angle I will be squatting more than I do now.

I nod my head and let every bit of nonsense they speak go in one ear and out the other.

edit: Just for general info, I'm not a huge guy but at 220 at 18 years old and only 5'10 I do not really take guys that are 150 lbs and in their twenties too seriously.
