Glucosamine

Does anyone here have joint pain. I bought some glucosamine saturday from gnc it's suppose to be very effective for joint pain. Muscle & Fitness Mag rated it very high on their supplements list. What do you guys use for joint pain. I feel like if i don't take anything for this now it will get as bad as the last time this occureed about a year ago.

Mine too. Last year if i even carried a 5 pound weight my joints would feel like hell. I was wrestling and got a couple of arm bars locked onto both of my arms and that further aggrivated my elbow joints as if lifting wasn't enough. How long did this take to kick in and how much did you pay for it. I bought some from gnc it was $5 for a bottle of 30 (600mg) and the suggested dosage was 3 a day so that will only last me 10 days. Do you think 1 a day will help me? Thanks for the feed back.

I dont remember what exactly I took....or the cost..
I quit rodeo after my last stay at the hospital and never used it again. I am getting ready to use something called Joint command... It is 25.95..It is supposed to be the best on the market.Made by prosource
I would say that you sould load up before you only use one a day.Like use the three and ween yourself down to one...

Thanks for the advice. I guess a couple of bucks is worth it if it helps with my joint pain. I spend way more than that on protein powder and bars amonth. Thanks again.

I haven't ever used it, but it's interesting that you mentioned it because this guy at the gym recommended it to me for my bum knee. Let me know how it goes .

Glucosamine rocks ! I used it 4 months ago for a sprained wrist, I had thought I couldn't lift anymore at that time just because I had played football with my PT ! Now I lift heavier than before this injury !
The one I used (and still use it for prevention ) is called Jointace, I had 2 of it per day, for 2 months. After, I cut to 1 every other day.
I just had recommended it to my mum for a injured knee.

My shoulders were bothering me from benching. I started taking glucosamine and chondroitin (sp?) and the pain was less noticable. I stopped (read: ran out of it) and the paid is a little worse. I of course cannot state for certain that the G&C was stopping the pain, but there certainly is circumstantial evidence that supports that thought.

So picked up some Glucosamine / Chondroiting yesterday due to some problems I'm having in my left shoulder, especially with shoulder presses.

So what's the latest word on this stuff?

whoa that post was 6 months ago. I only used 1 bottle of the stuff and i realy don't know if it helped. I just stopped doing close grip bench which i felt put alot of stress on my elbow joints and it went away a couple of weeks later. I have yet to have any aching joints.

Glad you're feeling better, Gohan. I can't imagine stopping doing shoulder presses, though - there really isn't a good alternative for that, is there?
