GNC Mega Whey

Today I bought "GNC Pro Performance Mega Whey". Here's the nutrient profile of one serving:
40 grams protein
5 grams free form glutamine
3 grams BCAA
Calcium 25%
Iron 2%
Carbs 4g
Sodium 160 mg
Fat 4g
Contains: Whey Protein and and Amino Blend of L-Glutamine, L-Leucine, L-Valine, L-lsoleucine

I am wondering:
A) Has anyone used it or similar protein/supplement mixes
B) If so, do you think that it worked well and is all the supplements that I need? (also taking multi vitamins, mutli mineral, B complex, fish-oil, coQ10, chlorophyl, and fiber)
C) Did I pay too much ($45 for 5 lbs) 35 40 gram servings of protein (figured I would take 1/2 serving at a time)

Waaaaah. U break my heart
35 40g servings = 1400g
5lbs=2.27 kg
%: 1.4/2.27=62% protein rest crap

U paid 45$ for 1.4kg protein

The optimum nutrition deal here breaks down as follows:
17.75$ for 5lbs
77 servings, 23g protein =1771
%: 78%

45$ for 1.4kg protein or 1.77 kg protein(AND better quality) for 17.75$ ???

oooooh my heart.

The other stuff is crap huh? Just a marketing scam? I haven't opened it yet. Perhaps I will take it back . . .

So you suggest Optimum Whey? From what source? I'll buy it right away. . .

Where do I get the "good stuff"?

By crap I meant non-protein. When u buy protein powder, u are only interested in protein(it includes glutamine, valine etc).
The rest is non protein(ash, carbs, fillers -"guar gum", moisture etc).
For whey protein their are two grades:
Whey protein concentrate, which is what most protein powders contain. Pure WPC is ~80% protein. So the best u can get in a commercial powder is 80%(unless its an xpensive one and has whey isolate). I consider >70% to be decent. 62% is just way too low, are they using an inferior grade??

A better grade is Whey protein Isolate-its 90-92% protein. More xpensive, more easily digested.

For bulk proteins I recommend:
proteinfactory.com
proteincustomizer.com

Proteinfactory has the advantage u can customize natural sweetners and flavours. It is xtremely hard to find a cheap commercial powder which has no artificial sweetners. Proteinfactory offers stevia(its a natural sweetner) which is cool. Also many flavours like orange etc. U can read up about the various types of protein on their website.

However, its nice to have a diff commercial powder just for a diff taste. Optimum Nutrition has proved to be a popular choice-low price, high protein %(~77 =>rest is cocoa powder, and no dilution of WPC).

Right now the best bet for WPC is Optimum. Proteinfactory lists 4.25$/lb 42.5$ for 10lbs. ON 17.75 deal: 35.5$
I havent seen a better deal EVER

I buy WPC in commercial jugs, price is close enuf(now better) to bulk protein.
For isolates, egg protein, casein rest, I buy from proteinfactory/proteincustomizer.
