whey is a great protein for right after a workout. it digests quickly to give your body the protein it's screaming for after a workout.

Welcome to the board, madskillz. If this is your first time using creatine then yes, I would load it by taking 3 or 4 servings a day for the first week. Then take it once per day (post workout) from there. After the first time you cycle it, I wouldn't bother with the loading. Just doesn't have the same effect the second time around.

As for taking whey protein with a protein shake, I wouldn't. Use the shake as a meal replacement and take the whey post workout. You will probably see better results that way.

i see excellent results taking the whey with 500ml of cold skimmed milk post workout at around half 4 in the afternoon, then only 1 scoop of whey again with 500ml of milk before bed.

Works great you will see good improvements coupled with the creatine.

The best post workout proteins are whey protein hydrolysate and whey protein isolate. I don't know anything about commercial bransds as my buddy makes my blends for me. I wouldn't trust any of the commercial blends very much.
