All I've heard is that it blocks/interferes with certain medications. Blood pressure medication and synthetic hormones come to mind. Here's something. Do a google search. The internet is filled with lots of answers.

That would be wicked scary if true. Can you imagine? Imagine what you'd get by taking Viagra and drinking grapefruit juice . . . . .

Picture that visual . . . . . .

I read that if you drink grapefruit juice with ephedrine it increases the half-life of it soit stays in your system longer.

It broke it donw like this...

lets say you take like 25mg one day... and you drink GF juice it will hold a little bit of that in your system, so if you take 25mg again the next day that dosage will like bond with the dosage thats stored so that you have more than 25mg.... and if you do it for a long time it builds up.

Sounds kinda dumb, but anything can happen! :

Grapefruit juice is highly acidic. As it enters your stomach and intestines, the pH of these areas drops (more acidic). Most pills, vitamins etc are broken down here, and the more acidic, the easier it is broken down.

Sorry for posting from a supplement company but the basic idea is here
