Green Tea: Does it work?

I have heard many different arguments on whether or not green tea stimulates fat loss/increases metabolism. Has anyone had any success with green tea? If so, is there any specific type of green tea (ingredient wise) that is more beneficial then others?

Thanks in advance,

Sure it works. It'll suppress your apetite and boosts energy/increases metabolism (contains caffeine). But obviously, nobody is going to get into fantastic shape by just drinking Green Tea, or by merely taking a single supplement for that matter. Supplements only offer a little boost...the thing that really works is having a good exercise/diet plan.

You can find Green Tea in any Health food store (like GNC). You can even find capsuled Green Tea (more convenient to take a pill sometimes than to drink a cup of tea).

I drink green tea over over coffee for energy and the thermal effect.Though it does not have as much caffine as drip coffee, its done me quit well with my current diet.Gives out a nice amount of energy and i would guess helps aid fat loss.

What a lot of people don't realize is that Green Tea has something called L-Theanine in it, which counters the effects of caffine. I take L-Theanine supps every so often to help relax the mind. It really does work. As far as Green Tea burning fat, yea it may help some, but you could probably walk half a mile and burn more calories.
