Growth Hormone Question

Hi,
Currently I am 23, 5'10" 175. I've been lifting since high school and I truetly think my workouts have stunned my growth. I bench 280max and squat 315max (all natural, no creatine). I have been contemplating of taking grow hormone shot to increase my height but I have no information pertaining to the side effects or any effects at all. Can anyone recommend a good site explaining in details about growth hormone?

I would say at 23 your growth plates are fused and the "upward" growth you are looking for will elude you. 5' 10" is far from short.

5'10" is pretty average...don't know why you'd think it was stunted.

IronMan I was reading the pages you linked to and this one caught my eye

AT THE PRESENT TIME,
THERE IS NO PROVEN REPLACEMENT REGIMEN
FOR HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE EXCEPT
INJECTABLE HGH
here

I guess this means products like GABA (which are taken orally) are useless for increasing HGH levels. However, IIRC, GABA is a relatively new product, and the bottom of the page you linked to says: "Updated: January 10, 2000".

So is GABA worthless?

GABA is typically promoted to relieve anxiety, and in bodybuilders to help stimulate secretion of growth hormone. GABA does not cross the blood-brain barrier, and so can not get into the brain where it is active. Therefore it may not be helpful in reducing anxiety. There was a study done in 1980 that showed 5 grams of GABA will cause a release of HGH. I'm having a difficult time finding other studies to support this finding.

There are other amino acids that can cause a release of gh, but the dose is high enough to cause stomach discomfort (cramping, diarrhea).

The amino acid L-Arginine is starting to make a bigger splash in the bodybuilding industry for it's ability to increase hormone levels, aside from it's other many positive health effects. I've not tried it but i'd try anything over injecting HGH.

Even growth hormone won't help you if your plates are fused, I mean sure... everything will grow like there's no tomorrow, but for the small gain in height your going to be putting a LOT on the line for example ... enlarged organs and various other extremely serious problems related to using GH without doctors supervision & actually knowing what your doing with the stuff...I've heard of very few guys use it effectively and you would have to use it over a VERY long period of time for the upward growth (when it comes that is).....so I hope you've just won the lottery because this stuff aint cheap lol

You'll end up like Frankenstein if you're not careful. Last I checked, a big ole forehead and longass elbow joints is not attractive with the ladies.
Dont mess with the stuff man until you're about 40 or so.

Meeee lift heavy weight! Grrrrr! Meeee can kill with pinky finger! Meeee have no nads! Grrrrr!!!

The benefits are so small to HGH compared to the risks. Don't bother with it or steroids. You are who you are. Build on that and be an individual! :
