Question

Help fitness buffs please

Hey you all... I just joined this discussion group... I am a current UCF (University of Central Florida). I am a marketing major, but am minoring in Health Science. I love to work out and am very interested in nutrition and health. Anyway... I am doing this marketing project. I am just interested in how many of you use certain supplements, where you use/buy them, and how often. This is strictly for research purposes and help with a "pretend" marketing plan. My group and I were interested in introducing serums (like creatine, anti-ox, glutamine, etc.) into coffee drinks, primarily cold ones.

First of all... do any of you try to drink coffee prior to working out?

Do you drink coffee at home or go to a vendor like Starbucks, etc.?

Do you drink cold or warm coffee beverages?

If they offered serums, as mentioned above, and you were ensured you got a full serving, would you be interested in such a beverage?

Do any of you use these serums, I have used some supplements, but have always been a little skeptical about these?

I also wanted to know, do they make a protein serum... I don't think they do, but think it would be cool if they did?

Also do any of you know the nutritional info on these supplements?

Well... these are just some questions I have... I greatly appreciate any ideas and guidance you may have....

Thanks and take care
Blair

Creatine breaksdown in liquid form. Over the course of 3 days you will have around 1% active creatine left in the serum.

Vitamins are a different story.

Orange Julius has done a similar idea, btw. You can add a nutrient to your drink. Energy, protein, vitamins, etc.

I drink (warm) coffee everyday at work and about once a month I go to Starbucks and get something that tastes good, which is cold.

The word "serum" just makes me think of viscosity. I don't think I want thick protein goop. They make plenty of pre-made protein shakes anyway.

Agreed with most of what galileo said regarding creatine/protein drinks.

I drink coffee every day, but not for health reasons. I just like the flavor and caffeine so having creatine/supps in it wouldn't be a big plus.

Yes to all the caffiene questions. Mmmmm coffee.....

Creatine serum is crap. Expensive crap too. Almost everything breaks down in water. You don't want anything premixed.

You wouldn't drink 3 week old latte's would ya? Well, maybe in a pinch....
