hGH question

I recently picked up a book by Dr. Squat called Hardcore Bodybuilding (the screaming bodybuilder on the cover who's curling what looks like 55lbs is priceless). The book is a bit old. Anyway, in the book Hatfield claims that working out in a hot enviornment will have a beneficial effect on hGH production.

Is this a valid theory or outdated bs?
