HMR/Snicker's Marathon, any good for losing weight?

http://www.yourbetterhealth.com/

I have been drinking their shakes for awhile now(really nothing serious but that is about to change... been having them in the morning...)

Anyways I am starting out a work out program over the summer(have a personal trainer, lifting about 3 times a week and going to walk/jog for at least 40mins a day)

What I really want to know is if anyone has used this before? And is there anything better then this? I enjoy the taste of these shakes but I am willing to switch over if the benefits of this shake is outweighed by another...
Also I have been having the new Snicker's marathon bars instead of say a balance bar,http://www.snickers.com/marathon_info.asp, I replace that with say my lunch, should I switch back to another type of bar?

thanks for the help

I looked at it and I wouldn't touch it.
serving 1 bar, 55g

cals 220
cals from fat 60
total fat 11g
sat fat 1.5
cholest 5mg
sodium 240
total carb 27g
sugar 18g
dietary fiber 2g
protein 13g

The kicker is first thing in the ingredients: carmel (corn syurp, particial hydrenaded soy bean oil) this = trans fats. hmmm most like the other 10.5 grams of fat.

I can't make any suggestion of what to switch to but, this is not much better than a regular sincker bar. They have added vitiams to this one and it has 9g more protein but that is about it.

I Knew It Tasted too Good To Be True

I've been trying to lose weight / body fat and I was using the energy bars to sub for meals. Is that a good idea and which ones are the best? Their are so many. What about the Aktins protein / energy bars?

energy bars in general are not very good, They either have a lot of sugar, lot of saturated fat or both with little protien. The protien they do have is ussually whey which is easy to get from a shake. You'd be better off (in the waist and wallet) to chug a protien shake and eat a low fat granola or cereal bar.

Ok thanks for the advice I will go back to Balance bars untill I can work a shake into my schedule(can't do Shake as I go to school, and well, thats more difficult then a bar ) So till summer I will do that then try and switch over to shakes...

Also what would you suggest of Lean Cuisine? I have heard of differing opinions but to me its a nice easy meal, just pop it in the microwave... but then again I have heard for the most part TV platters or whatever they are called are not healthy, so would it be better off if I were to look up specific recipes to cope with my needs?(Thats why I like Lean Cuisine, has the calorie count there and no hassle..., but willing to change if needed)

anyways thanks in advance, peace

Lean Cuisine is ok. It is not good not too bad, but you need to read the label on them. The sodium is the killer with these things. But, I usually have them for lunch. The turkey with veggies is not too bad it clocks in at 140 cals total. But if you can a chicken breast or fresh food is better. But on the run they will do.
