How are these Protein Bars?

I got these Power Bar protein bars on sale and was wondering how they measure up. Here are the numbers:
Protein-24g
Carbs- 38g
Total fat- 5g
Sat fat- 2.5g
Calories-290
Glutamine- 4.6g

I don't really know a lot about protein bars and was wondering if these are good numbers. The carbs look high to me, but I am not sure.

Thanks,
-Mike

For me I would not buy them, this is because of the carb to protein ratio... like you said yourself they are quite high in carbs, if you buy bars you want to aim really for low carb, low fat and high protein....... if they are on offer of course they aint bad to have around. Check out the label again, now have a look at how much of them carbs are sugars.

carbs-38g
Sugar-21g

Also they are made by Power Bar. I would eat these pre workout so wouldn't some carbs be a good thing?

Thanks,
-Mike

you have to watch the carbs pre-workout the idea of them is too give you just enough energy and fuel to workout obviously, so if you have too much the workout will have the point taken out of it.

OK thanks guys I will eat the ones that I have, but I don't think that I will buy them again. One last question, what is a good protein to carbs ratio?
Thanks,
-Mike
