How long does ZMA take?
I'm just getting ready to start ZMA and I'm wondering how long it takes to take effect or whatever you'd call it. I know after the first time taken, one's sleep will be affected, but I'm wondering about the actual testosterone increase and how long it takes and if you physically notice a difference.

I never noticed a difference and stopped taking it. Luckily it was cheap. I tihnk MostMuscle said he had noticed a difference though.

I'm 36 years old. I noticed it in a few days. I notice I sleep better when I take it and I wake up with more energy.

I notice a difference when I take it. I'm not sure if I believe it increases testosterone though. It definately makes me sleep deeper and feel healthier. Most diets are lacking in magnesium.
I find I have to take it for two or three days before it takes effect and then when I stop the effect keeps going for a couple of days.

I agree.
It does give me one HELL of a good nights sleep though. This will also help recovery time.

Would have to concur here. When I take it, I get wicked deep sleep (with some trippy dreams to boot). And being that I am not typically a sound sleeper, I would endorse it for this alone being that it's cheap to make from it's components.

If you are zinc deficient - you should start feeling benefits in a couple of weeks on the outside. If you aren't because your nutrition plan already gives you the minerals you need - you won't notice anything ever.
Those balco guys all did great on ZMA but for them it took about 4 or 5 weeks to notice a difference .

Zinc and Magnesium ?Anabolic? suppliment. Two excellent minerals which if you are actually deficient will adversely affect your gains. If you aren't deficient - then you'll not notice much difference from taking it.

ZMA = Zinc, Magnesium Aspartate, & Vitamin B6. Clinical trials have shown that combination can increase anabolic hormone levels as well as help to increase endurance, healing, growth and restful sleep.

How much is 'enough' zinc n magnesium? I take a multivitamin, shouldn't this be good enough? My multi contains 100%RDA of zinc and 30%rda of magnesium. Would there be any danger in adding ZMA?
Also, I eat almost NO fruits or veggies<waits for lecture on importance of eating his fruits n veggies>
