How much Creatine should I take?

Hello everyone.

I've been taking Creatine for about 2 months. I can see positive things from taking it.
I purchased 2 boxes of the Twin Lab series creatine. It comes in individual packets. I usually mix one packet before workout and that's it.
My question is: Is one packet enough for size and definition(overall muscle growth)? Or should I take it more than once a day to achieve my goal?

I look forward to your repsonses.

Antony

You could try taking it more than once per day and just exeperiment to see if it makes any differences. I would recommend taking it first thing in the morning and then again right after your workouts, if wanting to take it twice per day.

These two times are the optimal times in which carbs will be absorbed the best/quickest.

Try 20g per day. It is best to take it in two 10g intervals.

Take 10g in the morning or before you go to bed & 10g in your post-workout shake.

Best of Luck, Jock.

I just reviewed one of my creatine packets and saw the serving size to be 28grams per packet.

So would that be enough?

I've experimented with this. In the begining, creatine will help add mass, big time, only if youre creatine intake is low. Hmmm....whazzat? You say you don't take creatine and are just starting out? Think again. There is 1 gm of creating in 1 lb of red meat. If you're a regular red meat eater, chances are that creatine will not have that much of an affect on you. If you're a veggi, then heck you'll gain 5 lbs in 2 weeks.

So you want the optimum dosage? 5gms a day. More if you're over 200 lbs, less if you're less than 200 lbs. You can take more if it makes you feel better, but you'll be wasting your money. Forget about loading. Thats a way to sell more creatine.

When to take it? After a workout, when your muscles are pleading for it.
