I mix just a little water in my whey protein and make it the consistency of pudding, and then I just drink my carbs and water along with consuming the whey protein.

bad idea protein before workouts...
Hey fellas,
Just for your info....i've been told by numerous people that large consumptions of protein before workouts is not a good idea...especially a preworkout protein shake....The reason being that large consumptions of protein before workout first of all make you feel really crappy before you workout and during your workout...especially if you eat a big meal right before you go into the gym...also it's much harder to burn that protein off while your working out, becuase protein is one of the hardest suppliments in your body to burn off...so if your looking to gain weght maybe a good idea, but if shooting to lose weight or gain no weight...i would definetely not reccomend it...

RemedyMan, can you give some type of proof that it's difficult to burn protein off during a workout and protein before a workout isn't good for losing fat? Particularly whey protein I mean. I would like to see some type of proof in a site article if you have it, thanks.

The way most of here eat (every 2-3 hrs) I doubt if this could ever be an issue. The whole idea is to have a constant flood of protein available in the system at all times.

Hey remedy man, protein is not a supplement. Second of all why would you not recomend protein? You need protein. I've never felt crappy after drinking a shake, maybe you should make better shakes.

I can drink EAS or Optimum Chocolate with water no problem. In fact I actually LIKE drinkin ON choc with water. The best tasting powder I have ever consumed is the Prolab Lean Mass Matrix Cinnimon Oatmeal flavor. I haven't even tried it with milk yet cause its so damn good.
