how to make a good tasting protein shake

i am fine takin my protein with water but i want to put more protein and calories in it. i tried putting icecream and milk and hershey syrup in it. it wasnt to bad but with only 1 scoop protein it was like i could only put one scoop protein in or it was to clumpy with the powder. i want to put 2 scoops of protein and make other things without having to drink a gallon size shake. does anyone know good recipes or ingredients to put in to help.

I have a protein shake I really like but I've been told it is not optimal, which is fine with me. I use:

1/2 cup fat-free yogurt
1/2 cup Silk Soy Milk Enhanced
1 scoop whey protein
Frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries)

Blend it all up. I really love the taste. The more berries, the thicker the shake.

That sounds pretty good ed. BTW, don't worry about the optimal thing. Not everyone needs to get so technical about their shakes as to worry about how much of it is absorbed in what timeframe etc.

You could try a weight gainer...lol you might as well if you're putting ice cream in your post shake...

Other good idea is look up the protein bar recipes on this site, most work out fine and add a decent amount of calories. The batches I've made usually just taste like peanut-butter and chocolate balls of goo and look like animal droppings...but they taste fine

My PWO shake usually is ~1/3 cup fat free milk, ~1 1/2 cup cold water, some ice, 2 scoops chocolate proetin powder, 1 banana, 5mg Creatine, and 1 tablespoon natty peanutbutter. Mixes up nice in the blender and tastes great.

Lift, I love this shake. I think it tastes awesome. I could sit here and have it all day. You should try it some time.

Make sure, however, that you don't add too much 'stuff' to your shake. Guzzling too much nutrition is no better than over-eating a conventional meal.
